‘Silent Conversations’, an Exhibition by Ana Colomer for Mountshannon Arts Festival
5 June 2025
Clare Arts Office, in conjunction with the Edna O’Brien Library in Scarriff and Mountshannon Arts Festival, will host Silent Conversations by the artist Ana Colomer in the Gallery at the Edna O’Brien Library, Scarriff, from June 19 to July 17.

Silent Conversations showcases recent works by Ana Colomer, a visual artist originally from Spain and currently based in County Clare. Ana studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville, where she developed her distinctive approach to portraiture and expressive storytelling. Her paintings explore themes of identity, emotion, and human connection, often capturing quiet, introspective moments. Ana’s work has been exhibited widely across Ireland and internationally, including selection for the prestigious Zurich Portrait Prize at the National Gallery of Ireland.
In Silent Conversations, she invites viewers to engage with the unspoken narratives woven into each piece; stories told through gesture, expression, and the space between figures. The exhibition reflects her ongoing interest in the silent yet powerful language of visual art.
